Grade 10 Exam Preparation Study Guide

A 6-week plan for Grade 10s: rosters, notes that work, practice and exam-day strategy.

6 weeks out

Get the exam timetable and make a study roster — every subject, every day, on paper where you see it. Start with your weakest subject while motivation is high.

Making notes that work

  • One page per topic. Headings, bullets, boxes, colour — never walls of grey text.
  • Turn every heading into a question and answer it from memory the next day.
  • Use the Flashcards and Study Goals pages in this app to lock facts in.

Practice beats re-reading

Doing worksheets, marking them against the memo, and fixing mistakes teaches more than reading notes three times. Past papers are gold.

Study health

25 minutes on, 5 minutes off. Phone in another room. 8 hours of sleep — memory files itself while you sleep. Eat before you study; drink water.

The week of the exam

Light revision only. Prepare pens, calculator, ID. Arrive early. In the paper: read all instructions, allocate minutes per question by marks, answer easy questions first.
